From August 30th to September 1st 2024, the SpoletoNorcia in MTB event will take place along the route of the former SpoletoNorcia Railway. A weekend dedicated to cycling, sports, nature, and Umbrian cuisine.
For this edition as well, the competitive SN CUP (60.7 km/2000 m elevation gain, exclusively for MTB) and four other routes of varying difficulty on mixed terrain and technical single tracks have been confirmed. All these routes follow the path of the Old Railway that connected Spoleto to Norcia through the Valnerina, one of the most picturesque areas of Umbria, with its majestic mountains bordered by the Nera River, charming villages, stone viaducts, and dark helical tunnels.
The planned routes are:
Family Route: 15 km with 300 m elevation gain, suitable for everyone;
Classic Route: a 57 km course with 1570 m elevation gain, retracing the path of the SN Cup race;
Classic Easy Route: a variant of the Classic suitable for all participants, covering 40 km with 900 m elevation gain;
Hard Route: the most challenging, with a circular itinerary of 85 km and 2200 meters of elevation gain, reserved for those who are well-trained and love challenges.
Numerous other activities will be organized during the weekend.
